三月十二日星期六耀中分类派对的感谢信.

                   Thanks to all of you, volunteers who chose to spend last Saturday at the Sorting Party instead of resting or shopping to make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
              感谢所有的志愿者,上周六参加以分类派对的活动的形式替代了休息或购物.使我们的生活更有意义.

On March 12th, ROH held its first 2011 Sorting Party. It was a fun Sorting Party and it didn’t seem like work at all as we had less stuff to sort but as many volunteers. This time we were able to send more than 350 bags of clothes and bedding and about 60  boxes of shoes, bags and toys to Shandong province where it will be distributed by a NGO who knows well the area's needs.
                  三月十二日,爱心河组织了2011年的第一次分类派对,它是一个充满乐趣的派对,看起来一点也不像在完成一个枯燥的任务,这次要分类的东西少了,但是志愿者多了。这次我们成功的发出了350袋衣服和床上用品,60箱鞋子和包,还有玩具,这些东西由了解当地情况的山东省由非政府组织接受.

Thanks to the Yew Chung International School, which hosted this event, we had a spacious area to work in, complete with nice temperature and sun. In addition, we were able to set up the successful “Buy a Mile Bazaar” outside. Our school liaison, Luke Watson, made sure we had music to encourage us in our tasks. Volunteers took the challenge to heart by following the guidelines. By lunch time the sorting was efficiently completed.

      谢谢耀中国际学校主持了这次的活动,我们得以有宽阔的地方工作,气温和天气都很帮忙,我们能成功的在户外进行了义卖.学校的联系人卢克为我们播放音乐来鼓舞我们的士气,志愿者们的工作也更有效率.


      We had a short appreciation party for all the groups of volunteers and a few individuals who have been faithful to come and help during the sorting and bazaars of 2010. They received a certificate from ROH with a cup engraved with some smiling faces from our little ROH recipients.
      我们感谢一些曾经在2010年参加我们的分类和义卖的团体和个人的志愿者.他们收到了爱心河的证书和奖杯.

       Volunteers stayed in high spirits as various food sponsors provided variety and quantity. We had some new volunteers from the Hiking group who were a big help and never run out of breath. They not only came early and stayed until the end but also brought enough ham, tomatoes and bread to serve about 100 sandwiches.

     
志愿者们精神饱满的提供了保质保量的食物.我们还有一些新的志愿者,他们来自穿越者团队,他们给予了我们很大的帮助,他们都没有休息一下.他们不仅来的早还一直待到最后.更难能可贵的是他们带来了足够的火腿,番茄和面包.提供了大约100个三明治.


  We also like to thank the core volunteers that invested their personal time to reach deadlines or drove throughout Shanghai to meet sponsors (Michelle Masella and Dean C with the food. Murphy and Cat Chan, liaisons for logistics and destination as well as organizing the appreciation ceremony).
